John Lee Cronin, a nationally known entrepreneur, presenter, and advocate for people with disabilities served as the guest speaker at this year’s CollegeWorks graduation ceremony on May 22nd, 2018.  Cronin, a young man with Down Syndrome, asked his father if he could start his own business selling socks.  In December of 2016, John’s Crazy Socks was born. John’s company has taken off, and his story has been featured on ABC News, BBC News, Money Magazine, The Mighty website, and most recently, Fox News. John’s message of perseverance and determination was well received by the students and guests in attendance. We are grateful to John and his father, Mark for making the trek to Central New York to be part of our ceremony!

This was the 12th Annual Graduation ceremony for CollegeWorks. Ben Delosh, Andrew Lollman, Angus Armstrong, Travis Spencer, Gordon Zehr, Aubreanna Nicholl, Marybeth Flick, Tatianna Pearsall, Sajra Prosic, Cory Ravinski, Ali Kareem, and Dominique Dubois all received their graduate certificates, signifying their completion of the two-year program. We congratulate these graduates and the students moving up into their senior year of the program.
